Biology A Overview
We begin Semester A by studying the characteristics of living things and how they interact with each other and their environments. We will then review basic chemistry, focusing on the properties of water and the 4 major types of carbon containing molecules. We learn about cells, how materials enter and leave cells, and how new cells are formed. Next we learn about how cells get the energy they need to live and function. Finally, we learn about how DNA directs the production of proteins.
